Siding Repair in Calgary
Cracked panels from hail, sections lifted by a chinook, trim that has let go at a corner. Siding damage looks cosmetic and mostly is - until water gets behind it, at which point you are paying for sheathing rather than a panel. We repair what is broken and tell you honestly if the wall has moved past repair.

What it costs.
This one is quoted on site. We'd rather look at the surface and give you a number that holds than publish a "from" price that changes when we arrive.
Quoted after we have seen the wall. Panel repairs are usually modest. What moves the number is how many panels, how high, and whether the colour is still available.
Prices are for jobs inside Calgary. Outside the city there's a $24.99 fuel surcharge.

What's included.
Most panel repairs are a few hours. A full elevation is a day or more.

- Damaged panels removed and replaced, matched as closely as the colour allows
- J-trim, corner posts and starter strip refastened or replaced where they have failed
- A look behind the panel while it is off - that is the only time anyone can see whether water has been getting in
- Hail damage photographed and documented properly if you are claiming
- Everything fastened with the right spacing, because vinyl that is nailed tight buckles in the first hot week
Not included
- A guarantee of a perfect colour match on faded or discontinued siding - see below, we will be straight with you about this before we start
- Full re-siding, though we will quote it if that is genuinely the better answer
- Structural or sheathing replacement if the rot has gone that far
Questions we actually get.
Will the new panels match?
Honestly, sometimes not exactly, and it is the thing that surprises people most. Vinyl fades over years of Calgary sun, so a brand-new panel in the same colour can still read slightly brighter than its neighbours. If the colour is discontinued it gets harder again. We will tell you what to expect before we order anything, and where it matters we can sometimes pull panels from a hidden elevation and put the new ones there instead.
Is my siding hail damaged?
Quite possibly, and it is routinely missed. People claim the roof after a storm and never think about the walls, but hail cracks and holes vinyl - especially on the north and west elevations that take the strike. Cracks are often hairline and easiest to see in low sun. We photograph and document what we find, which is what your insurer will want.
A panel is loose. Does it matter?
Yes, more than it looks. Siding is a rain screen, not a seal - it works by shedding water down and out. A lifted panel or failed J-trim lets water in behind, where it sits against the sheathing and does not dry. That is how a fifty dollar panel becomes a wall repair.
Repair or re-side?
Repair when the damage is localised and the rest of the wall is sound. Re-side when panels are cracking in multiple places, the colour is long discontinued, or water has already got behind enough of it. We do both, and we would rather do the repair - the same way we would rather patch a roof than replace it.
