Roofing & Roof Replacement in Calgary
When a roof is genuinely finished we replace it, managed from the inspection through to the final clean-up. But we will look at whether a wash or a coating gets you another decade first, because a roof you did not need to replace is the cheapest roof there is. When it is time, we install architectural asphalt shingle, metal, cedar shake and Euroshield rubber, and every crew we put on a roof is certified for it.

What it costs.
This one is quoted on site. We'd rather look at the surface and give you a number that holds than publish a "from" price that changes when we arrive.
Quoted after a proper inspection, not off a photo. Roofing is priced on square footage, pitch, how many layers are coming off and what the deck looks like underneath - and nobody can tell you that from the ground.
Prices are for jobs inside Calgary. Outside the city there's a $24.99 fuel surcharge.

What's included.
Most residential roofs are one to three days once materials are on site. The inspection and quote happen well before that.

- A free inspection, and an honest answer about whether you need this at all
- The full job managed end to end - tear-off, deck inspection, underlay, shingles, flashing and vents
- Certified, insured roofing crews only. This is the one part of what we do that is subcontracted, and we say so rather than pretend otherwise - the certification is how we make sure the quality holds when it is not our own hands on the job
- Your choice of architectural asphalt shingle, standing-seam metal, cedar shake or Euroshield rubber, with a straight answer on which suits your house and budget
- Your gutters cleared and the property cleaned down afterwards, which is where most roofing complaints come from
- One point of contact throughout, so you are not chasing a crew you never hired
Not included
- Talking you into a replacement you do not need. If a clean or a coating buys you years, that is the quote you will get
- Insurance claim handling, though we will document what we find so you can file
- Structural or truss work, which is an engineer's job rather than a roofer's
Questions we actually get.
Do I actually need a new roof?
Often not. Shingles that are dirty, streaked or growing moss usually need washing, not replacing, and shingles that have dried out but are still sound can be coated. What genuinely needs replacing is curling, cracking, bald of granules, or leaking. We will tell you which one you have got, and we would rather sell you the smaller job and keep you.
Who actually does the work?
Roofing is the one thing we bring in outside crews for rather than doing ourselves, and we would rather say that plainly than let you assume otherwise. We only use certified crews, because when the work is not our own hands the certification is the guarantee of quality. We inspect, quote, schedule, stand on the job and handle the aftermath - you deal with us throughout, not with a crew you never met.
What roofing materials do you install?
Four. Architectural asphalt shingle is the Calgary default - good value, 25 to 30 years, and available in impact-rated grades that stand up to hail. Metal costs more up front, lasts longest and sheds snow. Cedar shake is the best-looking of the four and the most maintenance, and some insurers price it accordingly. Euroshield is a rubber shingle made in Calgary from recycled tires, built specifically for hail, and worth a conversation with your insurer. We will tell you which makes sense for your roof rather than steering you to the one with the best margin.
What about the mess?
It is the single most common roofing complaint and it is entirely avoidable. The property gets protected before the tear-off starts, the ground is swept and magnet-rolled for nails afterwards, and your gutters get cleared - a tear-off puts a remarkable amount of grit into them.
When is the best time to reroof in Calgary?
Late spring through early fall. Shingles need warmth to seal properly, and asphalt laid in the cold does not bond the way it should until the following summer. An emergency repair happens whenever it has to, but a planned replacement is worth timing.
